rail divisionThe Breffni Group has gained unrivaled expertise in rail development having worked at the forefront of Irish rail construction and upgrading since the 1980's - most recently Dublin's Heuston and Connolly Station improvement projects. Breffni supply a range of rail plant including: rail roaders, rail dumpers, teleporters and mobile cranes all of which are fitted with high specification safety requirement features - height limiters, slew limiters, ongoing valve checks and reversing cameras. Rail fleet includes Rail Sleepers and Signalling Equipment on flat bed trailers with a fleet of low loaders to transport machines, while all operators carry the necessary accreditation to operate rail machinery.
Breffni’s strength lies in the ability to easily adapt to evolving circumstances with a large and expansive fleet of plant and equipment used to facilitate the smooth running of operations - a list comprising artic and tipper trucks, track and mobile excavators, dozers and dump trucks, crushing and screening machinery and a number of smaller plant items. Breffni also uses fleet to coordinate civil engineering and construction projects and other related business ventures. A significant project for Breffni was the DART upgrade which involved Mast Base Construction and Mast Erection on the entire Dublin network and liasing with many operators involved in construction and bridge erection.
